Dad Confronts Alleged Pimp With Baseball Bat

A Tennessee dad armed with a baseball bat attacked a man he suspected of pimping out his 12-year-old daughter.

According to Memphis police, 33-year-old Brian Jones forced the girl into prostitution. When the girl’s father learned she was at Jones’ apartment, he confronted Jones. The two got into a fight because Jones reportedly wouldn’t let the girl go.

Jones eventually called police himself after he ended up locked inside the back of a van. According to the affidavit, Jones told police someone was trying to kill him and locked him in a van at his apartment. When police arrived on the scene the girl’s father flagged them down. The dad told police Jones forced his daughter to have sex against her will with several men inside his apartment.

According to the affidavit, Jones told police he allowed someone to bring the 12-year-old girl to his apartment. He also said that the girl was involved in sexual activity in one of his bedrooms. “It’s shocking though, when I heard he did that,†said Curtis Nelson Jr., who lives next door to Jones. “He was a person always trying to demand women around and stuff, but I didn’t know he was that type of person, but I guess you can’t trust nobody out here.â€

Jones was arrested and booked early Sunday on charges of trafficking for sexual servitude and two counts of rape of a child. He is currently in Shelby County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

Police said none of the men involved in the sex acts with the girl have been arrested yet. “Yeah, they need to catch them,†Nelson said. “Give all of them 50 plus. Life without the possibility of parole.â€

Jones is scheduled to appear in court on December 1.

This is a sad story, I am feeling so bad that a 12 year old had sex with men, she should have been preserved from this situation.

I can definitely understand the father's reaction there. For his own sake, at least he didn't do anything that would have resulted in murder and longer term incarceration. But how a man can try to pimp out a 12 year old is beyond me.

No. He asked a very good question. But what I want to know is where is the mother? Children engaging in sexual activity whether it is consensual or forced, is a blatant sign of parental misguidance. It's in fact the reason why there's grown men and women who have sex with children.

Every time there is presence of drugs very bad things happen. I hope that this girl will obtain professional help so that she can be able to enjoy the remaining months of her childhood. I hope that parent receives all of the support he can gather to go forward.
Now, about his daughter. She is old enough to know right from wrong. How did she ever end up at that devil's home unescorted? Are there still nunneries or convent schools?

Not much to see here. This guy is beyond desperate. This is like something out of twisted thriller. If someone wanted to kill him and the worst thing they did was lock him in a van. He kind of kidnapped the girl. The neighbor had no idea either. The court appearance was December 1, well I'm sure he's done.

I would have done the same thing if I had a daughter in that situation. Hopefully the law wont be too harsh for the beating he put on that pimp. Always good to keep an eye on your children and be in their lives, as this is a perfect example of what goes on.

There seems to be more to the story, but regardless of whether the girl went freely or not she was underage and he was aware of it. We don't know how the father found out, but he did the right thing but maybe should have called the police first.
