question about K9

Do the K-9 handlers take their K-9 home at the end of day, if so does the handler have to live in the same city that he works for?

I have a buddy that is a K9 officer and he lives in a different city from the one where he works in. However, it could be different for other agencies.

There are many K-9 handlers who are actual owners of their K-9. They actually train them to work really well with them and the force that they work for, which makes them perfect for the position!
