Orlando Police Chief John Mina announced at a news conference on Tuesday that the reward is being raised from $60,000 to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Markeith Loyd. Loyd allegedly shot and killed an Orlando police officer Monday.

Hundreds of law enforcement from local, state and federal agencies continue to search for the wanted fugitive.

Authorities believe Loyd is still in the Orlando area. Police say they have received hundreds of tips about Loyd's whereabouts.

"We'll get him," said Orlando Police Chief John Mina. "It's only a matter of time."

Loyd, 41, is also wanted on murder charges in the December 13 slaying of his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
