Elementary school teachers in Seattle, Washington said they plan to wear "Black Lives Matter" t-shirts at school to start a conversation about race.
"To be silent would be almost unforgivable, and I think we have been silent for almost too long," said Marjorie Lamarre, who teaches third-grade.
The t-shirts were designed by teacher Jennifer Whitney and paid for through donations. They say "Black Lives Matter, We Stand Together" with the schools name included.
"I think that is an invitation for families in the community that might not agree with us to come in and have a discussion with us," teacher JR Lorca said.
