I posted a way to make 10 dollars that I thought was legit. So I wanted to share it. Turns out it was a scam that basically fooled me also even though I am very wary of such things. So my apology to admin and fellow posters for posting about it without first making sure it was legitimate. Cheers !

Never a dream for me . Saw it as something "cool" when I was young and ignorant. I didn't know the dangers of the job. I like it from the authority point of view and of course helping people. If I were one though I would not want to work in a neighborhood with a high crime rate.

My neighbors complained to me about a noisy AC and the heat it was generating. One was kind about it, the other was a jack ass. But no police involved. And in a month I had the unit moved.

It is the scariness and fear that people have of prison which keeps society in order believe it or not. Many more crimes would be committed if prison were just a room of your own with 4 walls and a hot meal and cot.

The only heavy metal song I really like is "Enter Sandman" by Metallica .

Yea depeding on the area you are working there probably is a preference of race for an officer to be. And I am sure there is a quota too. Less to do about race and more to do with how the public or ghetto areas would react with a white cop versus a black cop. Or a female cop versus a male cop.

And yes I believe the police are required to follow up on any emergency call no matter whether it is a cat stuck in a tree or a murderer in the house. They have to respond.

Wow first of all my condolences to you. Losing a mother is one of the worst things in the world. I think you should file a report about it . The police should have acted on the call. The guy was trespassing which is a crime last time I checked. And he hit her? Still they refused to come to the...

No not really. I am averse to most types of work . Which is why I have had so many different jobs in the past few years. I just drift from one company to another.

You owned a duck? You mean as a pet? Didn't know they could be domesticated unless you had a farm. Anyway I would go with the horse sized duck. :)

Better to protect yourself. Respect people but don't throw yourselves at them. Other than your parents most people are not 100% all about your well being.

Yes about 6 years ago, maybe more, group of guys who had a problem with my brother started throwing punches . There were about 7 of them. 2 of us. I was hurt more though.
