Yep, regular shifts are 8 hours, but night shifts can be longer, but when this happens officers also have more time off, an extra day if I am not mistaken.
My nephew was just refused by the police because he was underweight, so this just confirms what I say, the physicals are always more difficult. I do wonder if there is a limit for overweight too!
That is a good point Joan, but at the same time they don't need to be punished harder just because they were cops, I think that the law should be the same to all.
To become a detective you need to prove yourself first as an office I think, but I don't think I would have the stomach for it, it's a really demanding life in which there's little room for family life.

Yep, pretty much like you say missbishi and similar to a rent-a-car as well, when you return the vehicle is has to be inspected to see if it's damaged and in the case that it is, who is responsible for that.
I think that this sort of move always depend on a lot of things, mainly if it's something that interest us personally and in terms of career. Sometimes moving to a smaller place isn't necessarily a step down.
That is so true steve, not only he kills him, but takes a selfie too like it's something you are proud of? Values like the respect for human life are disappearing very fast.
I think it's great that we receive this advice, scary at the same time though, I wish this never happens to me, but if it does I will be better prepared.
