Absolutely Peninha, even if the dog was making too much noise at an hour where there needs to be quiet, the man lost any reason when he committed a crime to silence (maybe kill?) the dog, he should have simply called the police.

That's true, we rarely see elderly people go on killing sprees, they usually are very mellow and kind. That's discounting case of elderly dementia though, that also may have been the case here.

This needs a greater coverage, this shows what's wrong with our gun control policies, we're the only modern country where people can openly have things like automatic rifles, of course this leads to tragedies like this.

The fact that the mother had said he would kill her looks even worse on his accusation, it shows he had probably threatened her, so there was an intent to commit the murder.

This sounds like a great way to have people identified easily, whenever a person is arrested for something, have that tattooed onto their face, you could easily tell criminals apart then :)

What was trying to get away with? Just intimidating people? Or was she just delusional in general?

I really wish that was an option in these cases, it seems like unfortunately the most important job we can have is the one that doesn't have any requirements.
