Robot Buys Drugs With Bitcoins, Arrested By Cops

That's one of the shadier aspects of Bitcoin, the anonymity associated with your Bitcoin wallet makes it easy for money-laundering and less legal transactions.

Broken Neck Caused by Take-down Technique

While there is a valid point of self-defense I feel that there are better alternatives which are non-fatal, such as the Taser. Hopefully police will phase out such a dangerous technique from being taught or endorsed.

    Police helping in natural disasters

While police help is definitely appreciated we need more NGOs and possibly military organisations to come in and help as well. Given Nepal's remote and mountainous terrain I would imagine that police alone would not have the best equipment to reach and help all the victims of this catastrophe.

Must one go college to be successful in life?

It's definitely a path to land you a nicer job as a starting position, but thereafter what really matters is your commitment, soft skills and contributions.

Missouri Police Officers Resign After First Black Mayor Elected

It's a real shame that race issues still plague politics and major institutions like the police force at this day and age. I would like to see more state support meted out for the mayor, she's definitely really brave to put herself in such a position.

What objects are carried by you everytime?

I always carry a swiss knife, my phone and its charger, as well as a 1L water bottle. It's always better to have a heavy water bottle than no water at all, especially if you're thirsty and the only alternative is some unclean water source, or some overpriced beverage.

Is making homophobic remarks an arrestable offence where you are?

It really depends on where you are and the context. People make sexist, racist and homophobic comments all the time, sometimes even on television or radio, but if they can wriggle out of it by arguing over the context of it, or apologizing for it as a slip of the tongue, they get away scot-free...

How Does Police Work Affect Relationships?

Funnily enough I've only been friends with people who subsequently became police officers later on in life, I've never befriended anyone who was a police officer at the time. I think being in the force makes you more doubtful over trusting others, after all your life may be at risk.

Do people join the police for the benefits?

I know a few friends personally who joined the police force for the benefits. It's a pretty secure job with decent pay, I'd really like to see the entry requirements for such a profession raised as a result.

Convicted murderer escapes from IL jail

Looks like some IL facilities are in need of a serious security review. There are prison breaks now and then but this seemed to be a solo effort, how he got by guards and so many levels of supposed security is baffling.

What games do you play on PC?

I don't play as often anymore due to real life commitments, but I occasionally play Hearthstone on my tablet and PC, being a huge WoW fan in the past.

    Texting while driving.

It's extremely dangerous, and honestly one of the reasons why I think self-driving cars would be a great asset for humanity in the future. It's just so difficult to stamp out such a widespread practice since everyone thinks that they are in complete control of the car despite texting.

    Best app on your phone?

In terms of everyday usefulness I'd say Whatsapp, but who doesn't have one of these instant messaging apps nowadays haha. I keep my Dropbox and Google Docs apps on my phone so I can readily access and edit any documents on the go.

Woman ran over boyfriend who attempted to sexually assault child

I think if she could prove that she was acting in defence the charges would be significantly lowered or dropped. Hope it turns out well for her.

5th Grader Killed Himself After Losing Chess Match

That's really tragic. I'd think that there should have been some noticable signs of psychological problems in the child before this happened. Parents and teachers really need to pay more attention to their kids.

Fraudster fakes an email to the prison and gets released

Hopefully this will raise some serious security reviews. Honestly such important correspondence should be done in person, or at least in writing with official signatures, stamps and other means of verifying authenticity.

    Preferate meal?

I'd like a nice steak, it's wholesome and natural meat instead of all those processed meats like burgers and hams nowadays. A baked potato would make a great side to that!

    Wife/husband breaking the law

It's really hard to answer what you would do unless you truly were put into such a difficult scenario. Logically most people would say that they would report their loved ones to the police, but I can empathize with those who choose to protect them, even when they are breaking the law.

What can we do to make 2015 a better year for police and community relations?

It's probably quite a sensitive topic. Much of the onus lies on police departments, they need to take much stricter action on the few black sheep instead of protecting them. However as citizens we can help by being more cooperative and courteous to officers. Something as simple as wishing them a...

Are cops going after stolen phones at all?

The government wouldn't want to publicly acknowledge their phone tracing capabilities over something as petty as phone theft. I agree, most police resources could be delegated to more important purposes. Only in unusually inactive lull periods would I think the police would bother with such...
