Robber Returns To Crime Scene To Complain About Fake Gold Chain He Stole

There's really no wonder why this guy doesn't have any gainful employment now is there? He deserves a slot on "America's Dumbest Criminals"!

    Ironic

I'll reserve judgement until the full story comes out. There don't seem to be any updates as yet but I would be very interested to know the back story behind this. Either way, Sergeant Moore won't be having a very pleasant time in jail once they find out she's a cop!

    Local Hotel Fire, ATF Investigating

I suspect that the drone was just sent by the cops or firefighters in order to get a better view of what was happening. I think we'll be seeing more drones being used in similar situations int he near future - they seem like a great way to capture potentially ipmportant informaton without...

    Hammer Time?

Sorry but the title of this thread just reminded me of this...an oldie but a goodie!

    Resigning and rejoining

Definitely, especially if you've had to rejoin at a lower rank. I can imagine that previous subordinates who have since been promoted might take advantage of this situation if relations had previously been frosty. I have known cops who have taken a sabbatical but never any who have left...

    Only in a free country!

Everyone should have the right to a peaceful protest and whilst I do sympathize with the cause, they've gone about things completely the wrong way.

    The evil that people do...

Oh my word, what an awful story. I am so thankful that the passer-by heard the baby and that he was relatively unscathed. You're right though, I highly doubt that this came completely out of the blue.

    Anonymous tip lines

I've always wondered about that too. You'd have to take the check to the bank and it woul dhave the name of the police detartment on it. The teller could easily put two and two together and work out what has happened!

Corpus Christi Police Chief Floyd Simpson Dies of Injuries From Vehicle Accident

Why is it always the good guys who get taken first? Thoughts and prayers to the officers family all the way from the UK.

    How frustrated do you get?

It really depends on the crime but I do get really annoyed when I see people using their phones whilst driving.Do they think the law doesn't apply to them or something? There is a valid reason why this law is in place and that is to prevent RTAs and unnecessary deaths.

    Ahhh texas!

Good old Grandma! I bet he wasn't expcting that at all and I reckon that he'll be a laughing stock in jail!

Do generations follow each other into the force?

I think it does happen quite often. Maybe not through familial pressure but by getting a unique insight into the job that you wouldn't get anywhere else.

    Neighbor From Hell

He is very handsome. But like so many handsome guys...he's gay!

    Favorite music albums?

There are so many and it's difficult to narrow it down. Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd has been a favorite for as long as I can remember, Violator by Depeche Mode is another and I also love Doolittle by the Pixies. Quite a mixture there but I do listen to a wide range of artists.

    What Do You Think?

It's entirely possible and it's certainly a valid idea. It really could be beneficial but it's important to remember that kids don't learn everything they know from school - thier home environment is also a massive influence on their behavior. So extending these classes to parents could also be...

Dangers Of Craigslist Meetups and Sales

I've heard so many Craigslist horror stories and think it's a really good idea for police departments to allow transactions to take place in their reception areas. I suppose you need to apply the same rules to these meetups as you would to online dating in order to stay safe.

Mom asks police to arrest her 10-year-old to scare him straight

Maybe she was just at the end of her tether with the boy? We certainly shouldn't be so quick to judge her, we haven't a clue what her circumstances are like. Chances are, she's a single mom who has to work her a** off to pay the rent and put food on the table. There is, of course, every...

    Neighbor From Hell

I had the neighbor from hell and whilst we are still neighbors, she doesn't bother me any more. Really, she was just an overbearing busybody and I would always laugh it off until this one afternoon. She must have been curtain-twitching, waiting for me to come home from work because when I...

    Degree

A college degree is not necessary for the police force in my country at all. You are expected to have GSCE Mathematics and English, but this is just to show that you have attained a certain standard of education. I would say that relevant work experience (paid or voluntary) and an understanding...

Are Guns Really Necessary For Cops?

I think that guns are a necessity for police in the US. Because the gun ownership laws are so relaxed (compared to my country anyway), there is a higher likelihood of getting shot. Therefore, the police need to be able to protect themselves. Here in the UK, there's little call for cops to be...
