    Faster police vehicles?

I think that the police should get faster vehicles. It will help them get to the scene faster. The faster they can get to the crime scene the faster they can get to work. It will also come in handy with chases and things like that.

Do you get paranoid writing on forums?

There are times when I get a little worried about some the things that I write on forums. Then, I just kind of seem to write them anyway. I think you should censor yourself at least a little, but for the most part you are free to say whatever it is that you want to say.

Do you think schools should have armed guards at their entrances?

I don't think that schools should have armed guards unless they want to look like a prison. Schools should be somewhere kids go to feel safe and relaxed. I understand to some people that translates to armed lockdown, but it shouldn't to kids. I think that if anything, it will give the children...

    Boyfriend is a DEA Agent

I always find that meditation helps me whenever I gets really anxious about anything. Focusing on your breath and always staying positive can really go a long way. I know that it's not easy to, and you don't always know if he really is ok but you have to keep belief in your heart that he is...

    Hey there!

Hey, It's pretty awesome that you have family history in law enforcement. It runs in your veins and that gives you an edge that not a lot of people have. Hopefully you keep the legacy going and join as well. Looking forward to some of your posts.

Crime in progress. Could you make the arrest?

It isn't something that I would suggest doing but it is something that can be done. If someone is committing a crime then chances are that person is well equipped and will defend themselves if needed. If you are not equality prepared then keeping you distance is probably best. On the other hand...

Protests in NY over chokehold death

It's quite interesting to see everything that's going on in the city. Although, I don't know if people are doing it because everyone else is doing it or because people finally found something to stand up for. Either way, I hope that it's something that will not be forgotten like most injustices...

Are we allowed to defend ourselves in endangerment?

It's not a controversial topic at all. Yes, you should defend yourself if someone is coming at you with the intent of doing you harm. You shouldn't even get to the point of almost passing out. It's called self-defense ,and it should be used whenever you feel your well-being is in danger.

What sort of experiences have you had with police?

A really long time ago I tried to hop a turnstile in New York because I wanted to go to the skatepark. A couple of undercover cops saw me and took me in. The whole way to the precinct they kept calling me Tony Hawk and telling me how stupid I was for hopping in front of cops, even though they...

    When I call 911

I've never had to give my name or anything like that when I called 911. I think their main concern is finding out what the problem is and getting into the process of handling it as soon as possible. Just imaging if there was a home invasion, and the operator spent time trying to figure out the...

    Wife/husband breaking the law

I think this all depends, much like if a member of your family broke some laws. I think that if it was murder or a string of robberies then you would have no choice but to turn that person in. If it was something smaller than that then you have to ask yourself if it is really worth turning in...

What "minor" laws do you break?

I've gotten a ticket for jaywalking before, but I still tend to jaywalk (after I look around to see if there are any cops around, of course). Beside that, I don't think that there are any other minor laws that I tend to break.

Have/would you call out an officer with a bad attitude?

I definetly would. I don't care WHO you are, everyone should be treated with a certain level of respect. Having a bad attitude of any sort, especially when you are a law enforcement officer is a form of disrespect. I know everyone has bad days ever now and then, but I think you're personal life...

Would you turn a loved one in?

It really depends on what they do. If it was a really heinous crime like mass murder, or involvement in a string of high profile bank robberies then I would feel as though I have no choice. If it was a misdemeanor of any sort then I wouldn't even waste my time with it at all.

How to spot an undercover cop car?

I think besides the type of car that it is, you can spot a cop car by the windows. If you see a four-door car of some sort driving pass you with tinted windows then you should probably be on the lookut. You should also lookout to see if the car drives at a kind of slow speed and has REALLY...

Should we cry for perpetrators who are beaten in custody?

No one has the right to be judge, jury, and executioner, NO ONE! For some reason, things like this tend to happen and people seem to think it's justified. I wouldn't say that we should cry, but I don't think the police themselves should be doing the beating. That's clearly an abuse of power. How...

What case has really touched you?

Being from New York and seeing everyone marching, it's pretty hard not to be effected by the Eric Garner case (as well as all the other similar cases) It's just one of those things that would be in your best interest to pay attention too. Alot of people are tired of hearing about it, but I think...

Why don't more prisoners sue the prison when they are sexually assaulted?

I didn't even know that prisoners had that option. I just thought that all of their rights were taken away when they were thrown in jail. I know they have the right to an attorney, but I think it would be really hard to find one to represent them, hence they wouldn't even try. I think that it...

What if my dog bite's a trespasser?

That sucks that your home is in a space that have kids doing that kind of thing. Would a bigger fence help? I think if you have a beware of dog sign it would at least let people know that there is a dog on the premises and they should have at least a little bit of caution. I heard that there...

Friends in the academy: Helpful or distraction?

I fell like it will be helpful in some ways and a distraction in some ways. When I was in college, having my friends there actually made me want to go to school more, but when I was in school I wouldn't go to class until I saw at least one of them. So it's a catch-22 type situation for sure.
