One man is dead, a Louisiana State Police trooper is recovering from being shot and two people are still on the run after a shooting Sunday in the Seventh Ward.

Louisiana State Police Col. Mike Edmonson says the gunman who shot six police officers in Baton Rouge clearly targeted law enforcement, carrying two rifles and a 9 mm handgun in Sunday's ambush.
