a career as a police officer

About five years ago I had a protective order put on me. I wasn't arrested for the situation and didn't violate this order. I never touched her and when the police arrived they took me in despite her not having any injuries. Should I try to get the restraining order off my record. Besides this incident I have never been in trouble with the law. I have a college degree and I'm working on my masters currently. Do I have any chance for a career as a police officer?
