SAN ANTONIO, Texas. Larry Candelari, an off-duty Officer died Saturday night.
Huffman also an off-duty Officer lost a leg from the collision and was in critical condition.
Patrol Officers Larry Candelari, and Mike Huffman were both off duty going on a hunting trip. The two Officers pulled over to assist some stranded motorists.
A witness said an 18-wheeler swerved and didn’t put on the brakes until crashing into the cars on the side of the road. The witness also said that all three cars had their hazard lights on.
Four other people were injured in the crash. No reports on how serious they are.
