An Arizona cops claims he used non-lethal force to take down a suspect by ramming him with his cruiser. The Suspect it is alleged was armed and dangerous.

“One round just went out — into the sky,†an officer in the first cruiser is heard saying over the radio. “It's definitely unlocked now. He’s definitely loaded.â€

“Stand off, the gun is loaded,†the officer is heard saying just before the police vehicle speeds up, ramming Valencia.

The violent take-down which could have killed the suspect the police chief said, is what probably saved his [the perp's] life.

It seems it was either be rammed or shot. If you go around with a loaded gun and run away, then you expect to be apprehended somehow. I guess on television there is a lot of ramming of suspects written into scripts so they can read them their rights and cart them off.

The suspect apparently had apart from stealing a rifle, he'd robbed a 7-Eleven, broke into a church and also stole a car. Armed with rifle maybe he'd have committed more crimes. Such people deserve to spend their entire lives behind bars.
