Border Patrol Agent Isaac Morales died on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 as a result of an unprovoked stabbing.
Authorities say Morales was stabbed in the eye after identifying himself as a Border Patrol Agent.
Agent Morales was taken to a local medical center for treatment where he succumbed to his wounds.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the El Paso Police Department, according to officials.
Agent Isaac Morales, 30, had been with the United States Border Patrol for eight years.
He is survived by his parents, brother, and two sisters.
