New York. A 16 year old girl caused trouble yesterday when she told a security officer at her Brooklyn high school that she knew the Boston bombers. The girl then dropped the backpack and ran off, law enforcement sources said.
Authorities evacuated all 4,500 students and staffers at Edward R. Murrow HS in Midwood.
“I know the Boston bombers. I want to know if I am in trouble,†she said NYPD, who replied, “It depends on what you tell us,†according to a source.
The backpack only had textbooks, money and her ID.
It was later determined that the girl doesn't have any connection to the bombers. She was sent to Kings County Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
