I'm 21 and hoping to get into Law Enforcement. When I was 15 I did something really stupid. I was at a mall in my home town and as I walking out of one of the stores I found a wallet on the ground. So I picked it up, saw there was some money in so I kept it. Someone that I guess knows me, witnesssed me keeping the wallet and told the person who had lost their wallet when he came back searching for it. I was on camera picking it up and taking the wallet. So they called the police and the next day the cops showed up at my door. I went to the police station to discuss the incident. I told the police I took the wallet and they had me sign something saying that I would return the wallet and any money that was in it. Is there a chance that this could stop me from becoming a police officer?
