Deputy Sheriff David Wade was shot and killed while serving an eviction notice on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
While serving the eviction notice, Wade encountered three subjects at the home. Police say he was shot three times. After being shot, Wade was able to call for help and give police important information about the suspect.
Deputy Wade, 40, was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect fled from the scene by stealing the deputy’s car, authorities said. He was taken into custody a few hours later.
