Lowndes County Deputy Michael Butler died Saturday, February 25, 2017, after his patrol car collided with a semi truck.
Deputy Butler, 39, was responding to a domestic violence call when he struck a semi truck crossing the center line as it attempted to turn right.
He was taken to South Georgia Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Deputy Michael Butler leaves behind his wife, and twin daughters.
