Deputy Sheriff Scott Williams passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016.
Deputy Williams was killed in a car crash involving a logging semi truck. The accident happened on his way to work, approximately 7:00 am.
Authorities believe Deputy Williams may have suffered a medical emergency just before the collision. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Deputy Williams, 46, was with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office for seventeen months. Before that he was with the Brooksville Police Department.
He is survived by his wife and children.
