Drunk Fla. woman arrested on a charge of abuse of 911

VERO BEACH, Fla. Fleurette French, 64, a Florida resident dialed 911 to report a medical issue. Afterwards, French confessed she called the emergency number because she was lonely, police said.
Indian River County sheriff's deputies said on March 30 at 8:10 p.m., responders went to the Vero Beach home after Fleurette French called 911 to report she had a medical issue.
A deputy's report said French "was in no obvious distress" but "was highly intoxicated."
"French told him the real reason she called 911 was 'because she was lonely.'" police, said.
The sheriff's office reports that French had called 911 five times between March 22 and March 30. Each time she was taken to the hospital, French was found to be intoxicated and not in any medical distress.
French has been arrested on a charge of abuse of 911, a source said.
