Phoenix police said a woman was shot and killed while hugging her boyfriend when the gun in his waistband accidentally discharged.
The 24-year-old woman told her boyfriend it was making her uncomfortable when embracing.
As the 18-year-old man took the handgun out of his pants the weapon suddenly went off. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Phoenix Police Department spokesman said the shooting appeared to be accidental however the investigation is ongoing. The police have not released her identity.
