Have you had to arrest someone that you know?

There are cases where the person you had to arrest is someone you are familiar with. It is always difficult to have to book these people in and read him or her rights. That person is someone dear to you like your brother, sister, mom, and dad. Whatever the occasion was have you had to arrest someone you knew if you did how did you feel about it?

It depends entirely on the nature of the crime. If it's a small traffic offense for example, you could let a close family member get away with it. It's not about blood being thicker than water. Just the convenience of not creating an enemy. For serious offenses you have no choice but to make the arrest whether you hate it or not.

Second that,we don't need unwanted rifts between families or friends.Also at the same time we must ensure they don't take advantage of us,for instance they shouldn't be thinking,oh we have a cop on our side to negate all those arrests,formalities and stuffs.
