Living close to work

What is your feeling about living close to where you patrol? Is it a good idea, a bad idea?

I don't like to work close to home. When I'm not working I like my freedom, no reminders of work. Also I don't want to run into someone I have dealt with while I am out on patrol.

It has its pros and cons. I like the easy drive to work. It's also nice being able to stop at home to get a quick bite and see the family. The bad part is when I am out with the family I have run into people that I've arrested.

I used to live within walking distance and now I live about 40 minutes away. If I could afford to live in the town I currently work in, I would. It has great schools and a very nice community.
