Armed Metropolitan Police counter terrorism officers take part in an exercise on the River Thames and at Hyde Park in London, as Scotland Yard announce the first of 600 additional armed officers are trained and operationally ready. Officers armed with handguns and semi-automatic weapons, as well as Tasers, will go on routine patrol in the capital.
