Man Arrested After Allegedly Firing Paintball Gun At Police

A suspect has been arrested for allegedly shooting at Los Angeles police officers with a paintball gun on Monday night.
Officers were responding to an unrelated call shortly after 9 p.m. The shooting incident occurred around 9:30 p.m., said Officer Drake Madison, spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police had detected the suspect shooting the paintball from his home. They quickly set up a perimeter in the area of his residence. They searched for the suspect and eventually apprehended him at his house.
According to authorities, the suspect admitted that he was shooting the paintballs. "A paintball gun was recovered from the residence", Porras said.
Sgt. John Porras told reporters that none of the police officers were injured during the shooting. He also added no one was hit by paintball rounds, however they did have some concern about their safety.
“They felt they were being fired upon,†Porras said.
The name of the person in custody was not immediately released. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
