Man stabbed to death after trying to break up fight between two women

New York. Ronis Garcia, 28, from Connecticut died in the Bronx early Saturday after he tried to break up a fight between two women, police said.
The victim was at his friend’s sixth-floor Bryant Ave. apartment in Hunts Point relaxing from a long night out with friends when Garcia’s ex-wife started fighting with another woman, neighbors said.
Police said as the fight went on and it got real vicious, Garcia stepped between the two woman and was stabbed in the chest with a knife. Garcia was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7 a.m.
Witnesses said the two women who were both in handcuffs continued to yell at each other after the incident, accusing each other of the stabbing.
One witness that saw the fight told police he had never seen a fight between two woman like that before. “It was crazy, like a scene right out of a movie.â€
“One woman said she was Garcia’s ex-wife. She said the other girl stabbed him and the other girl turns around and goes, ‘No, b----, you stabbed him.’ They were going back and forth at each other,†said one witness.
Authorities charged Nereline Santana, 21, with murder and Carmen Puerto-Cruz, 30, with assault for an unrelated incident at the party, officials said.
