The manhunt continues for the gunman who killed Texas law enforcement officer, Harris County Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood.
Baytown Police Lt. Steve Dorris stated they are currently working on some leads. They have released surveillance video of a possible suspect in the shooting. They also have footage of a dark-colored vehicle that maybe linked to the case.
Assistant Chief Deputy Greenwood was shot and killed as he arrived for work on Monday, just outside the Baytown courthouse.
Authorities say Greenwood suffered a single gunshot wound in the ambush.
"Clint was absolutely a target, for whatever reason, said Montgomery County sheriff's Lt. Tim Cannon. "We don't know why. "But he didn't need to be a target. Clint was there to help. And whoever this person was, Clint probably would have reached out to help him as well."
Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood served the community for more than 30 years.
