A gunman opened fire at a congressional baseball practice field in Alexandria, Virginia.
The shooting incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, wounding multiple people including a congressman.
Two U.S. Capitol Police officers were also shot. They are currently in stable condition.
"Had they not been there, it would have been a massacre," eyewitness Sen. Rand Paul, said of the Capitol Police.
