A carjacker was caught on video stealing a Lexus RX 350 from a Miami hotel and then slamming into vehicles and people as he made his getaway.
Police say they found the damaged Lexus two hours later about a mile from the scene. They located 50-year-old Albert Ruiz in a Miami motel later that night. They reportedly used a stun gun when he resisted arrest.
In the video you can see Ruiz push the woman and take her brand new vehicle. You can also see the suspect fight off a valet worker who stepped in to help.
"You can see that this individual had no regard for anyone's life," said Miami Police Officer Rene Pimentel. "People were getting wedged, run over, pinned. He could not care less. He just wanted to take off."

Authorities say Ruiz hit seven people and rammed into five vehicles. Four of the injured were hotel workers, the others were inside their car when Ruiz struck them. All were taken to the hospital. One of the injured is listed in critical condition at the hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
“It’s certainly is an aggressive move,†said Jerry Sokol, a guest at the hotel. "I’ve never heard of this before. Hopefully, this is an extremely isolated incident and doesn’t change the way we handle valet in the future.â€
Authorities say Ruiz has an extended criminal history. He has been charged with carjacking, attempted murder and aggravated battery.
