A drive-by shooting left the outside of a New Jersey police station riddled with bullets, but no police officers were injured, authorities said.

According to police the gunman opened fired at the West Deptford Township Police headquarters on Crown Point Road around 4 a.m.

Seven bullets in total struck the Gloucester County police station. A brick wall, a metal door that officers use to get to their cars and a window, according to police.

Authorities say surveillance cameras on the outside of their building indicate that the suspect's car was a compact, dark-colored sedan.

"At this point we cannot tell whether there's one person or several occupants in the vehicle," West Deptford Police Chief Sean McKenna said.

At the time of the incident there were four officers on duty, however only the supervisor was inside the station when the shots were fired.

"This was a drive-by shooting," Deputy Chief Sean McKenna said. " I definitely think that a police officer or the police officers in general were targeted."

Authorities have received a few "soft leads," McKenna said.

"We haven't at this point received any specific threats," said West Deptford Police Lt. Stephen Meduri. "It's clear that we were targets," he added.

Police stated the investigation is ongoing and they don't have any additional information.

Police are offering 25,750 to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

We will post more details when they become available.

Some people should really have lost it to attack a police station, they are now targets and this seems pretty much an open war...!
