Mayor Bill de Blasio makes a forum appearance sitting next to Al Sharpton who has always criticized the the New York Police Department. De Blasio sat there while Sharpton laid into New York Law Enforcement suggesting that the mayor who's son is of mixed race would be a candidate for a chokehold because of his race.
This angered Patrick Lynch who is head of the Patromen's Benevolent Association and union official Ed Mullins. Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliana even weighed in , stating that Bill de Blasio made a "big mistake setting up a press conference like that and putting a police commissioner in the situation. That's extremely damaging to the police commissioner, to keep up the morale of the police".
