NYPD Police Find Body Of Missing Toddler In Prospect Park Lake

The body of Ruhshona Kurbonova was found in Prospect Park Lake, Brooklyn, on Saturday after the two-year old girl went missing earlier in the day.
Parents told authorities their daughter went missing around 1 p.m. The toddler was with her four year old brother when they became separated from the parents.
Police looked through the park, handed out missing posters and showed cell phone photos, while other officers searched by bicycle and helicopter.
The desperate search for the missing girl ended horribly when NYPD divers found the body in the water.
The little girl's mother filled with grief, was heard screaming and crying while sitting on the grass next to the water. Later in the evening paramedics carried her off with a stretcher.
“My heart is broken hearing the mother scream,†said Shavonne Dillard, who helped in the search for Ruhshona. “Right now her child is gone.â€
"The siblings wandered away from the family get together near the park's boathouse at about 1:10 p.m., police said.
The four year old brother was found shortly after they disappeared. He was wet and had some algae on him.
"Another family was walking and they heard a cry coming from some bushes near the water and they looked and found the boy all wet," an unidentified witness said.
"There was the green stuff, the algae, all in his nose and his hair. "When they asked the tot what happened to his younger sister he pointed at the lake, said the witnesses.
