Alamogordo police officer Clint Corvinus, 33, was shot in the line of duty Friday. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead just after 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Authorities said Corvinus and another officer were pursuing 38-year-old Joseph Moreno by foot after being confronted by the officers about 8:30 a.m., and that "at some point during this foot pursuit shots were fired."
Officer Clint Corvinus was a three year veteran of the Alamogordo Police Department. He is survived by his parents, daughter and girlfriend.
