A Las Vegas motorcycle police officer was injured Friday morning when a person in a vehicle rear-ended the motorcycle officer.
The accident happened around 4 a.m., near Tropicana Avenue and Durango Drive in the southwest part of the valley.
The officer was taken to UMC Trauma. Police say he was conscious at the time.
Authorities say the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.
The name of the officer and the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
