Agent Benjamín De los Santos-Barbosa passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
He died from a gunshot wound he suffered following a car pursuit in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on April 16. The suspect was taken into custody.
Officials say he remained on life support for several days so that his organs could be donated.
Agent De los Santos-Barbosa had been with the Puerto Rico Police Department for 5-1/2 years.
