Regular citizen request a ride along

Hi. I wanted to know if a person who doesn't want to become an officer still allowed to go on a ride along?

Yes. The applicant must have a valid photo id and is over the age of eighteen. The citizen needs to fill out a request form a month in advance and await for the background results.
