Reverend Al Sharpton has teamed up with a group of Chicago ministers to press the Justice Department oversight of the Chicago Police Department.

Following the Laquan McDonald police shooting, Sharpton's group are seeking to put pressure on U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a court imposed consent decree to manage the Chicago police reform.

Sharpton stated we all want the shooting to stop in Chicago, it just needs to be fair and just for both sides. "You cannot have it both ways. You must fight criminal behavior whether the criminal has on blue jeans or a blue uniform," Sharpton said. "A criminal is a criminal and ought to be treated like that."
