Sgt. Theron Rogers from the Shorewood Police Department is on administrative leave. He is accused of OWI and recklessly endangering safety for having a gun in his vehicle.
When the sergeant arrived for duty, other officers noticed he might of been under the influence of an intoxicant. They said Rogers arrived for duty with a .16 blood alcohol level.
He was taken into custody for OWI and recklessly endangering safety.
Authorities say Rogers has served with the department for fourteen months. He is currently on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.
