Suspect Allegedly Rapes Girl, Texts Mom Apology

Missouri. Codey J. Everhart is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in her home, and then he text an apology to her mother.
Everhart, 22, allegedly went to the house and knocked on the girl's window Saturday morning while her mother was at work, according to police. The girl told authorities the suspect wanted to take her out and go someplace. The 13-year-old girl told him no, and that is when he asked if he could use the restroom.
After she let the suspect inside, she told the authorities that is when he took her and threw her on the bed and raped her. The victim said she struggled to get away and when she finally did, she ran to the bathroom and locked the door. Everhart left the house.
According to court records, Everhart sent the victims mother a text.
"Omg im so sorry….it was the biggest mistake IV ever made plz I’m sorry plz don’t call the cops…Ihave kids…plz I will do whatever u want I’m so so rry handsome sacred I shouldv never said yes when she asked me to come over And scared* I’m so scared….I’m so sorry mam….I sware off girls altogther…plz I’m so sorry….plz say something? ?? Plz call me mam I’m so scared right now I feel like my whole world is gona crash dwon on me…..And I ‘m worried ima loose my daugthers…….. (plz call or text plzzz"
Everhart told police that he had "physical contact" with the girl, but denied there was any sexual intercourse involved. He also allegedly told police that he was invited over to the house by the girl to "make out," and that he knew she was only 13.
