The suspect arrested in connection with the triple homicide in Jupiter refused to make his first court appearance on Tuesday morning.

Christopher Vasata, 24, of Jupiter, was charged Monday with three counts of first-degree murder and will remain jailed.

Authorities stated Vasata had a "spiritual moment" and confessed to the attack while he was laying in the hospital recovering from his injuries.

"Here I am, looking at heaven, said Vasata." "I just killed three people and I'm looking at heaven."

Vasata later changed his story and denied saying that to the police officers.

Officials have charged Vasata with three counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
