El Cajon, California. The El Cajon Police Department have released a cell phone and surveillance video from the shooting of Alfred Olango, who was fatally shot by police.
Authorities say 38-year-old Olango was unarmed, however he pulled a vaping device from his pocket and in a shooting stance pointed it at police before he was shot and killed.
The death has prompted several days of protests. El Cajon Police Chief Jeff Davis stated in a press conference that the reason of releasing the video of the shooting death of Alfred Olango is to try and calm the communities concerns.
