• A wake was held Thursday for Jersey City Police Officer Melvin Santiago, who was gunned down while responding to a report of a robbery at a 24-hour Walgreens early Sunday morning. TV 10/55's Christine Sloan reports.

Duh.!! Hopefully the near and dear ones of the fallen officer find comfort from each other and their faith.Just a year in force..but still made sure what he wanted to be and what his family aspired of him.It was one of the toughest districts but he still was dedicated..RIP..!!

That is so sad, many officers are getting killed nowdays, it is very sad yet they are trying to keep peace.

It is always sad to hear about a police officer being killed while on the duty. It is so admirable how the police risk their lives to protect others only to end up gunned down. It is such a selfless and brave career.
