What do Deputy Sheriffs do in PA?

Hi guys, I just have a quick question. I was told recently that Deputies serve different purposes on a state by state basis. What do Deputy Sheriffs do in PA? Thanks in advance.

The Deputy Sheriffs are mainly responsible for courthouse security and transporting the prisoners.
