Wouldn't accept it

Yesterday coming homing from work I had a problem with a toll booth. I pulled up to the automated booth and put my dollar in but it wouldn't accept it. I tried for five minutes. People behind me started to blow their horn so I went through the booth. Will I get a ticket in the mail? Should I contact them and explain what happened.

I would imagine if you did a get ticket you would get a chance to appeal it. If I were you I would contact them as soon as you can and explain to them what happened.
