Bench warrant

I was just informed that there is a bench warrant issued to me for not paying a speeding ticket. I am currently unemployed and have no money, so I have no way to pay for the ticket. I was going to turn myself in and explain my circumstances to the judge. What is going to happen to me?

They will probably will set a fine and give you time to pay. However, failure to appear is a criminal offense which could put you in jail.
