There's a woman I knew who when she'd lost her job, got herself in the way of a car backing out of a parking lot, got hit and she demanded that the driver "compensate" her or else . . .

From what I heard she got a $100 or so dollars. Not much but considering that she wasn't injured at all. . .

Could be this Boston Marathon "fraudster" was also that desperate and was willing to anything, illegal or not, to get some money. I wonder though if there's what she says in her defense is true:

"[she] says she did suffer traumatic brain injuries and the charges are retaliation for her criticism of The One Fund victims' charity for not helping people with such injuries.
