Deputy Paul “Clubber†Clark, 55, passed away at his house with his family Monday morning.
Sheriff Dan Bullock said he isn’t sure what the cause of death is at this time, but he is confident an autopsy will be performed. Clark suffered a broken back after being hit by a fleeing suspect back in October 2015.
“Everyone knows him by Clubber, and he was a veteran police officer for the county,†said Bullock. “He also worked for Park Hills Police Department for a few years before he came to the county. He was a really good officer and did his job. He also has been a really good friend and has been involved in Shop With a Cop and BackStoppers,†Sheriff Dan Bullock said.
Deputy Clark was hired into the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department on August 19, 1998. He is survived by a wife and two children.
