Detective Jerry Walker, 48, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Walker was shot in the neck during a standoff at home in Little Elm. He was flown to Medical City Denton where he later succumbed to his wounds.
He had served with the Little Elm Police Department for 18 years. And before that he served in the U.S. Army.
Detective Jerry Walker leaves behind a wife and four children.
