Immigrants across the country stayed home from their work and school Thursday to protest President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

Their reason was to demonstrate how important they are to America's economy and way of life. Also there were numerous businesses that closed to show their solidarity.

"Through this boycott we hope to demonstrate what a day without all of our immigrant brothers and sisters working and spending to contribute to our economy would look like," a protester stated.

President Trump said he will increase the deportation of immigrants living in the country illegally. He also said that he will build a wall along the Mexican border, ban people from certain majority Muslim countries from coming into America.
